In the early part of his life Noël Coward became a keen home movie maker and captured film of his plays and shows, home, guests and travels. They are all shot as silent monchrome movies.

This film clip shows all that exists on film of Noël Coward on stage - here with Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, rehearsing Design For Living.The music comes from a recording Noël made with Wally Stott and an orchestra made up of session musicians, just before he went to Las Vegas to perform in cabaret.
