Noël had many notable companions on his trips abroad. He was a passionate traveller who used journeys to ease the pressure that his successful career had placed upon him.
One of his earliest fellow travellers was Geoffrey Amhurst (5th Earl Holmesdale) who first accompanied him on his maiden trip to America. Geoffrey was to become a constant companion in Noël's far eastern adventures. Someone who was to become a significant friend over the years was Earl Mountbatten. In this clip Noël has recorded him water skiing. The music is from Sail Away with Noël in duet with Joe Layton.
